Also this year the ReLUIS consortium actively participates in the national communication campaign "Io Non Rischio", promoted by the Department of Civil Protection (DPC), together with the National Association of Public Assistance (ANPAS), the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the CIMA Foundation.
The Civil Protection Department, with a press release dated 24 September, officially announced the INR 2021 edition, which will take place on Sunday 24th, October 2021 only.
In particular, experts deployed by the ReLUIS Consortium will support civil protection volunteers in the awareness and dissemination campaign on the prevention of seismic risk, who will explain to citizens that prevention is possible and that nowadays methods, tools and techniques are available toeffectively reduce the effects of earthquakes.
More than 3400 civil protection volunteers will set up "Io non rischio" info-points in the main squares all over the country and "digital squares" to raise awareness among citizens about seismic, tsunami and flood risks.
