Modena Earthquake May 20th 2012 M 6.0

A 6 local magnitude earthquake hit the Modena province during the night. The peak ground acceleration recorded at 10 km from the epicenter is larger than 0.25g according to USGS. It is currently undergoing the expected aftershock sequence. At this link the real-time reports from the INGV (Italian Institute of Gephysics and Volcanology). H. Krawinkler departed, a reference to the modern world earthquake engineering

Helmut Krawinkler, of Austrian origin but who taught for many years at Stanford University (USA), died a few days ago at Los Altos (CA), for an only recently diagnosed disease. Professor Krawinkler is universally known, among structural engineers, for his important contributions to the development of performance approach adopted by most modern building codes. Memorable are his workshops, held every ten years in Bled (Slovenia) together with Professor Peter Fajfar, that often redefined the goals of global seismic research. Many Italian researchers have had the good fortune to learn from him, who was not only a formidable scientist but also a person of great humanity. For him are the loving thoughts of the whole Reluis community.

Il 5 per mille è uno strumento che permette ai cittadini di sentirsi coinvolti in maniera diretta per il perseguimento di obiettivi di utilità sociale.
Puoi destinare al Consorzio ReLuis il 5 per mille della tua IRPEF (o di quella della tua famiglia se ancora non percepisci un reddito), senza alcun onere aggiuntivo e senza entrare in contrasto con l’attribuzione dell’otto per mille e per finanziare laboratori di ricerca, strumentazioni, borse di dottorato.
Per destinare il 5 per mille al Consorzio ReLUIS , basta segnalarlo al commercialista o al CAF al momento della compilazione della dichiarazione dei redditi e firmare la casella "Finanziamento della ricerca scientifica e delle Università" indicando il codice fiscale 04552721211.
