On 25 November 2025, the presentation event for the volume “ReLUIS Contributions for a Revision of the Italian Technical Standards” will be held at the Sala del Parlamentino of the Italian Superior Council of Public Works. The initiative is organized by ReLUIS in collaboration with the Italian Civil Protection Department.
The volume gathers and synthesizes the main outcomes of the activities carried out within the DPC–ReLUIS Projects, with the aim of providing scientific and technical contributions to future revisions of the national seismic code. This publication will serve as a significant reference for the upcoming updates of the Italian Technical Standards for Construction (NTC), for which the Civil Protection Department plays a key coordinating role, pursuant to Legislative Decree No. 136 of 28 May 2004.
The various chapters of the volume present application examples and pre-normative proposals on topics ranging from reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures to innovative materials, geotechnics, seismic isolation, and the safety of non-structural components.
The publication aims to support the revision of the Technical Standards for Construction (NTC), fostering harmonization among existing regulations and promoting greater consistency between design choices, safety assessments, and regulatory updates.
